Pulse is an event conducted on the occasion of Teachers' Day to pay reverence and gratitude to the teachers for their selfless effort in shaping the students' career and enriching the education system. PULSE -- it was aptly named, for every year, it would be the opening cultural event of the academic year, checking the pulse of the students across various fields like dance, drama, singing, oration, writing skills, etc., and also giving an opportunity to know each other and gel with the seniors and faculty.

The White Coat Ceremony

As aspiring medical students everyone would have dreamt of wearing the "doctor's coat" and walking around in the hospital.

Dean Dr. Srikumari Damodaram and fellow associates were unanimous in their belief that this feeling deserves to be acknowledged officially to help establish a psychological contract for professionalism and empathy in the practice of medicine. They therefore organized a "White Coat Ceremony". The celebration is highlighted by the presentation of a special white coat to each student by the Dean, Department HODs and the doctors of ESIC MC & PGIMSR, K.K.Nagar, Chennai. It is then followed by a recitation of the HIPPOCRATIC OATH.

THRISANG '13 was a landmark in the journey of the first year students of batch 2013-14. The students got-together to celebrate the Tamil New Year, Ugadi and Vishu at one juncture. Like the union of the three oceans at Kanyakumari, the people of three different cultures came along to celebrate the beginning of a NEW YEAR at ESIC MC. The students dressed in their traditional attire - "Dhoti" and "Sari" fervently took part in the various fun programmes and games. Watching the traditional Kerala dance and bharathanatyam, payasam treat for the taste buds and tuning into the trilingual radio of ESIC MC was a great stimulant for the Sensory system.

In the coming years we are looking forward to unite more oceans here at ESIC MC and flow effortlessly towards the path of development and tireless service.
